How the estimate works
No surprises — here’s exactly how the numbers are worked out.
Standard 2.4 m panels
We estimate in standard 2.4 m panels with posts at ~2.4 m centres — so 24 m works out to 10 panels. Where a short leftover would otherwise need a whole extra panel, we swap in one wider 3.12 m panel instead.
Per panel
Each 2.4 m panel takes 2 channel posts, 1 cap, 2 rails (2365 mm — top and bottom), 3 infill sheets and 16 tek screws.
Two posts at every join
We fit two channel posts together where panels meet, so a run needs 2 posts per panel — a 24 m fence of 10 panels takes 20 posts. Enclose the yard and we’ll work out the closing run for you.
Sleepers need longer posts
Add under-panel sleepers and you’ll need longer (2.7 m) posts so the footings stay deep enough. We flag that in the estimate.
